Our members are professionals specialising in the education or practice of taxation in Malta.
The professional background of our membership is very diverse and includes:
• Civil Servants within the taxation departments
The Minister of Finance usually accepts to give his patronage to the Institute and is granted honorary membership. We are pleased to confirm that since the Institute’s formation, the Minister of Finance has always accepted to become our patron and a member of the Institute.
The institute has 3 classes of membership:
• Associate – using the designation AMIT
• Fellow – using the designation FMIT, and
• Honorary – using the designation MIT (Hon.)
Members are bound by the Code of Conduct and Ethics as laid down in the Institute’s statute.
