Dr. Conrad Cassar Torregiani


Dr. Conrad Cassar Torregiani has been appointed Vice President of the Malta Institute of Taxation, during a Council Meeting held on the 4th May, 2015. Dr. Renald Micallef, President, welcomes Dr. Cassar Torregiani to this new post and thanked the outgoing Vice President Mr. George Farrugia, who will remain a Council member within the Institute, for his valuable contribution throughout the many years he served in this post.

After graduating as a lawyer from the University of Malta, Conrad pursued his studies in the Netherlands, graduating Master of Laws in International Taxation from the University of Leiden.  He heads the Cross Border Tax and International Tax division at Deloitte, Malta.

He is currently the Chairman of the Education Sub-Committee and a member of the Direct Tax Sub-Committee.  He is also a lecturer in the post graduate Diploma Course offered by the Malta Institute of Taxation.  He also represents the Institute at the General Assembly meeting of the Confédération Fiscale Européenne.
