Annual General Meeting
and launch of the MIT Guide to Completing a VAT Return
 
 

26 February 2021 @ 5.30pm

The Annual General Meeting of the Malta Institute of Taxation is to be held online on Friday 26th February 2021 from 5.30pm. Prior to the call to order of the AGM (whilst awaiting for a quorum to be reached), we shall be launching the MIT Guide to Completing a VAT Return. The guide provides a detailed analysis of the standard VAT return, with reporting examples and the MIT's views on certain aspects of reporting in the VAT Return.

An overview of the key features of the Guide, and some of the information contained therein, shall be presented.

AGM 2020

The meeting will be hosted on the MIT's zoom platform. 

The Business of the meeting shall be as follows:

  • Launch of the MIT Guide to Completing a VAT Return
  • Opening address by the President
  • Call to order of AGM
  • Adoption of the minutes of the previous AGM
  • Consideration of motions
  • Presentation by the CEO
  • Adoption of the financial statements and the auditors’ report
  • Appointment of auditors
  • Secretary General’s Report
  • Overview of the year: Presentations by the CTO and the Chairpersons of the Technical Committees and the Educational Committee
  • Council election
  • Concluding address

The following motions will be presented during the Meeting. Motions will be voted on through Zoom’s polling functionality.
