Business and Professions for Ukraine Refugees Fund (BPURF)

Dear Member,

As you are no doubt aware the situation in Ukraine is indeed a dire one. Over 2 million refugees have fled the country and this number is expected to increase significantly in the immediate future.

A number of business and professional organisations (see list below) have embarked on a joint initiative to support charities that are raising funds to assist refugees resulting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Donations can be made to Caritas Foundation Malta using the following bank account details and quoting the following reference in the payment details: ‘BPURF’ (which stands for Business and Professions for Ukraine Refugees Fund).

Caritas will be applying these funds through Caritas International to provide aid in the form of food, water, and accommodation amongst others. They will also be used to offer assistance to vulnerable people to join their relatives in secure zones as well as to provide recreational spaces for children thus providing psychological support.

We also urge you to ask your colleagues / staff  / clients to contribute to this cause.

We are also seeking to put arrangements in place with other charities and we will inform you of this in due course.
