The MIT Tax Technology Committee was established in 2023, in recognition of the ever-increasing significance of technology and technological applications to taxation and tax administration and reporting, as well as of the impact of digitalisation and digital transformation on tax matters.

The role of the Committee is to identify and discuss the key issues around the digitalisation of reporting processes and the impact of technology on the tax professional, with a view to contributing to the broader discussion with the relevant stakeholders, as well as those technological developments that may require analysis from a tax/VAT perspective by the MIT's tax committees.
