Malta Institute of Taxation – Membership Renewal 2026

Dear Member

We write to inform you that your complimentary Affiliate membership which you were entitled to in 2025 following your successful graduation from the MIT Course on Taxation in 2024, expires on the 31 December 2025. 

Kindly note that your current status with the Institute is that of an Affiliate. Should you wish to remain a member of the MIT you may:
🔸 either renew your membership as an Affiliate Member; or
🔸 you may wish to switch your status to an Associate Member.

Please also note that individuals who wish to apply to become Associate Members are required to provide two reference letters from current MIT members.

2026 Membership benefits concerning MIT events

As a MIT Member you benefit from discounted Member rates on our webinars, short courses, and other events, including the MIT Annual Tax Conference, as well as access to complimentary Members-only information sessions.

In addition, Associate Members who renew membership (including settlement of membership fee) by 28 February 2026 will be entitled to attend 2 CPE events on a complimentary basis, to be selected from eligible events organised by the Malta Institute of Taxation in 2026. A calendar of events will be made available in the new year to enable Members to plan ahead.

CPE Requirements for MIT Members

Please be informed that MIT members seeking to renew their membership are required to submit a declaration to MIT confirming that s/he has completed a minimum number of taxation related CPE (Continuing Professional Education) hours in the immediately preceding calendar year.

The declaration is submitted by ticking the relevant box on the renewal form.

Payment of Membership Fee

Should you wish to remain an Affiliate Member of the Institute, you are invited to submit the renewal form at the link below. The Affiliate membership fee for 2026 is €100.

If you wish to switch to Associate Member status, you are kindly requested to submit the required reference letters to mit@maintax.org. The Associate membership fee for 2026 is €200 (payable once your admission to Associate membership is approved).
