Calling all VAT professionals and practitioners!

The fourth edition of the MIT VAT Practitioners' Forum will be held on 5 February 2026. Join the MIT's Indirect Tax Committee and representatives from the Malta Tax & Customs Administration for a half-day event to discuss technical and practical VAT matters.

The theme of the forum is:
VAT & REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS

The event will kick of with a panel discussion on the intepretation of the VAT rules for certain transactions involving real estate (for example: rentals, intermediary & management services) and will also tackle the complexities of managing blocked input tax and adjustments for capital goods. 

Delegates will have the opportunity to share their views in informal Round Table discussions faciliated by our Committee members. These will be followed by a closing session during which the key issues identified will be discussed.
