The Malta Institute of Taxation is pleased to invite its members to a Networking Reception marking the Second Edition of the Order of Malta’s National Art Exhibition.

This reception will offer MIT members an excellent opportunity to meet and network in an inspiring setting, while also supporting the charitable initiatives promoted by the Order of Malta.

The Order of Malta’s National Art Exhibition is the largest collective art exhibition ever organised locally, featuring a collective of 194 artists. The exhibition showcases an impressive range of works by painters, watercolourists, bronze artists, ceramicists, sculptors, photographers, and others. Works of art have been donated by the artists in support of the Order of Malta and are for sale. A link to the catalogue of works may be found here.

By raising awareness about the Maltese contemporary art scene, which has been blessed with a wealth of talent, this exhibition also aims to raise much-needed funds for the charitable causes supported by the Maltese Association of the Order of Malta. These include the Annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes with approximately 340 participants, the funding of two sixteen-seater, fully air-conditioned tail lift vans for Dar tal-Providenza, the support of two shelters, namely the Blessed Gerard Residence, which is a shelter for single migrant mothers and their minor children, and the Alberto Marvelli Residence, which is a shelter for homeless youths. The Order also conducts mentoring visits to foreign inmates who have no family in Malta, it also assists with running the Food Bank, and conducts daily visits at SAMOC.
