MIT CPE Policy Updated

As you are aware, as of 1 January 2025, MIT members seeking to renew their annual membership are required to submit a declaration to MIT confirming that they have completed the minimum number of Structured CPE (Continuing Professional Education) hours in the immediately preceding calendar year.

Version 2.0 of the MIT CPE Policy has been published.

What's Changed?

The main changes concern the broadening of the definition of 'Structured CPE' to take into consideration:
👉 lecturing on tax courses, seminars etc (the earlier version only covered attendance of courses and seminars)
👉 attendance of courses/seminars on non-tax areas which are considered to be relevant to the practice of the tax profession (with a minimum of 50% to be in the area of tax);
👉 active participation in tax committees of the MIT or other professional association, where output is produced.

We invite you to view version 2.0 of the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements for MIT members at the link below.
