Payment Methods - Settlement of Taxes Due

The MIT has obtained clarification from the MTCA around the preferred means of online settlement of taxes due.

Kindly be informed that, unless otherwise instructed by MTCA, the payment of taxes and other dues to MTCA, in cases where a payment reference is available, is to be made via one of the following:

• the ‘pay bills’ option on internet banking, or
• the MTCA’s payment gateway, accessed at https://taxation.gov.mt/taxation.web/Payments
