Recent Local and EU Case-Law on VAT Matters

This seminar will cover a number of recent domestic and EU court cases in relation to certain provisions of the Malta VAT Act and EU VAT Directive and will focus on, in particular, judgements which are relevant to the following areas:

– supplies falling within the scope of VAT;
– place of supply rules for VAT purposes;
– relevant exemptions applicable to specific financial services transactions;
– digital platforms; and
– VAT treatment of holding companies

This seminar is ideal for persons who wish to gather a better technical and analytical understanding of the provisions of the Malta VAT Act and EU VAT Directive through the analysis of recent domestic and EU case law developments.
