Webinar on the Recent Amendments to the VAT Act

The VAT Act has been revised with effect from 1 January 2025, introducing changes to the rules for small undertakings (Art. 11 registered persons) and other changes.

The MIA, MIT and IFSP are collaborating in a joint webinar during which representatives from the three institutes, Saviour Bezzina, Louise Grima and Matthew Zampa, will go through the changes to the rules and their expected implications in practice. Nico Sciberras from the Malta Tax & Customs Administration, will also be present to provide insights into the changes and clarifications.

The MIT VAT Practitioners' Forum

This year's VAT Practitioners' Forum will focus on the VAT considerations relevant to the iGaming & Betting sector, and aims to address the various aspects of VAT relevant to the sector, ranging from the interpretation of the VAT exemption to the reporting issues encountered in practice.
