MTCA Online event on VAT e-Invoicing
5 May 2026

Dear MIT Member

The MTCA is pleased to invite MIT members to a webinar, organised in cooperation with the European Commission, on 5 May 2026. The session will focus on the use of eInvoicing and upcoming changes in the regulatory environment.

In May 2025, as part of the Single Market Strategy, the European Commission announced a revision of the Directive on electronic invoicing in public procurement. During the webinar, potential measures that could be introduced at an EU level will be presented and discussed with participants. In addition, under the revised EU VAT framework (VAT in the Digital Age), eInvoicing is expected to become the default method by July 2030 and will be used for digital VAT reporting to tax authorities.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to share your views on the main challenges stakeholders may face in implementing eInvoicing, ask questions to experts, and discuss initiatives that will shape the future of eInvoicing in the coming years.
