It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Malta Institute of Taxation (MIT).

Since its establishment in 1995, the MIT has strived to establish itself as a professional body for advisers, practitioners and academics operating in the field of taxation in Malta, promoting the highest standards in the tax profession, through the creation of learning opportunities and ongoing professional education, and contributing toward the development of local tax policy, legislation and administrative practices.

We invite members and non-members alike to frequently visit the News section of the MIT website, which will keep you updated on developments in this fast-moving area of the law.

Furthermore, the MIT, through its committees, endeavours to generate tax resources for the benefit of and use by its members which can be accessed via the Members Areaof this website. We welcome suggestions for tax resources content and seminar topics that you may find useful and we invite you to send these on mit@maintax.org.
