G7 Finance Ministers’ agreement on minimum global tax rate

At their meeting of 5 – 6 June, Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G7 confirmed their support of the efforts underway through the G20/OECD Inclusive Framework to address the tax challenges arising from globalisation and the digitalisation of the economy and of the plan to adopt a global minimum tax.

They confirmed their commitment to reaching an equitable solution on the allocation of taxing rights, and to a global minimum tax of at least 15% on a country by country basis.
