MIT Tax Courses 2021/2022

The MIT academic year 2021/2022 commences on 5th October 2021 with the first lecture of the MIT Course on Taxation.

The MIT Course on Taxation 2021/2022 (MQF Level 6)

The MIT Course on Taxation (leading to a Professional Award in Taxation), is an intensive tax course in 5 modules:

  • Module A: Fundamentals of Maltese Income Tax Law
  • Module B: Advanced Maltese Income Tax Law and Stamp Duty
  • Module C: EU Acquis impact on Maltese Tax Law
  • Module D: International Tax Law and Customs Duties
  • Module E: VAT

We also offer the option of following any of the individual modules on a standalone basis.

 

MIT Course on Tax Compliance 2021/2022 (MQF Level 5)

The MIT Course on Tax Compliance (starting 7th October 2021) provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of taxation (income tax, stamp duty and VAT) and their application in practice (including documentary and filing obligations), ideal for individuals who work in the field of tax.

  • Module A: Introductory Topics (e.g. Company law and Anti-money laundering rules)
  • Module B: Maltese Income Tax and Stamp Duty
  • Module C: VAT
  • Practical Sessions: these lectures focus on the completion of tax and VAT returns with practical examples.

These courses are accredited by the Malta Further & Higher Education Authority and participate in the Get Qualified Scheme. Students who successfully completed the full course may apply to recover up to 70% of eligible course costs in the form of a tax credit.
