Waiver of VAT and duty on import of medical and protective equipment extended

The Commission has decided to extend to temporary waiver of customs duty and VAT on the importation of medical and protective equipment used in the fight against COVID-19 until 31 December 2021.
The relief was originally introduced in April 2020 and was extended to apply to importations made up until 30 April 2021. An extension until 31 December 2021 was announced yesterday.
