MIT AGM 2023

The Malta Institute of Taxation held its Annual General Meeting on Friday 16 June 2023.

The AGM was opened by the President of the MIT, Dr Conrad Cassar Torregiani, who reported on some of the key initiatives undertaken by the MIT in 2022-2023 and gave an insight into the vision and initiatives for 2023-2024. Secretary General, Dr. Rachel Zarb Cousin presented an overview of the proposed amendments to the MIT Statute, which amendments were approved unanimously by the Members present.

This was followed by reports on the 2022-2023 activities of the Institute, including, the technical initiatives and publications, educational initiatives and developments from an administrative perspective . The Treasurer of the Institute, Mr Christian Vella, presented an overview of the Institute’s Financial Report.

The Council of the MIT welcomes new Council Member, Louise Grima, who replaces outgoing member, Dr Trudy Muscat. Trudy retains her role as Chairperson of the Education Committee of the MIT.
