31st VAT Expert Group Meeting minutes published

The 31st Meeting of the EU Commission’s VAT Expert Group was held on 10 June 2022. The MIT was represented at the meeting by Sarah Cassar Torregiani. During the meeting, the following was discussed:

• the formalities around the transfer of own goods from one Member State to another Member State
• E-invoicing in the context of the current design of the Digital Reporting System
• The Commission’s paper on the proposal for the Deemed Supplier regime for the accommodation sector in the context of the platform economy

The Commission also gave an update on the state of play of a number of initiatives being undertaken.
